Senior HR Business Partner

About the role

The Senior HR Business Partner will act as the strategic link between HR and business units across Ecobank Nigeria. Operating in a fast‑paced environment, the role supports C‑suite leaders in aligning people strategies with growth objectives and drives organisational design, change management and employee engagement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders to translate business goals into HR strategies, including workforce planning and talent acquisition for critical roles.
• Lead organisational design projects, restructuring and change‑management programmes.
• Develop and roll out HR policies, performance‑management systems and employee‑engagement programs.
• Provide data‑driven insights on attrition, skills gaps and workforce trends to inform decision‑making.
• Act as escalation point for complex employee‑relations issues, ensuring compliance with labour laws and mitigating legal risk.
• Create self‑service resources such as FAQs and knowledge‑base articles to empower employees.
• Coach managers on HR tools, policies and best practices, including performance coaching and conflict resolution.
• Design succession‑planning frameworks and leadership‑development programmes.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an HR Business Partner at senior level.
• Strong understanding of HR policies, employment legislation and change‑management processes.
• Ability to analyse HR data and present actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
