Senior HR & Administration Manager

About the role

The Senior HR & Administration Manager will lead people and administrative functions for a fast‑growing construction and engineering consultancy operating across multiple sites in Nigeria. Reporting to the Head of Finance & Administration and the Managing Directors, you will design and implement HR systems, ensure statutory compliance, and support project teams with practical workforce solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, update and enforce HR policies, procedures and frameworks aligned with business needs.
• Oversee the full employee lifecycle – recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and exits.
• Maintain accurate employee records, HR data systems and documentation.
• Manage disciplinary actions, employee relations and conflict resolution.
• Provide guidance on Nigerian labour law, statutory obligations (PAYE, Pension, NHF, NSITF) and expatriate immigration processes.
• Coordinate payroll in partnership with Finance and ensure timely statutory filings.
• Supervise administrative functions, office operations and facilities across head office and project locations.
• Produce regular HR and administration reports for senior leadership and support workforce planning.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years (84 months) of progressive HR/administration experience, preferably in construction or engineering.
• Hands‑on professional able to work both strategically and operationally in a project‑driven environment.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian labour legislation and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to manage HR processes across multiple sites and support international leadership.
