Senior GIS/Data Analyst Coordinator (Gombe State)

About the role

The GIS and Data Management Department at eHealth Africa seeks a Senior Coordinator to lead geospatial services across Nigeria, with a focus on Gombe State. You will shape spatial strategies, ensure data governance, and embed GIS insights into health program planning, monitoring, and evaluation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain organizational spatial strategies, data standards, and system architecture for sustainable GIS integration.
• Manage GIS service delivery across programs, guaranteeing quality, consistency, and actionable geographic intelligence.
• Translate complex spatial datasets into dashboards, maps, and reports for donors, senior leadership, and field teams.
• Collaborate with IT, M&E, and research units to align GIS with analytics platforms and data pipelines.
• Implement and oversee GIS dashboards, mobile tools, and digital platforms for real‑time decision making.
• Ensure compliance with metadata standards, version control, data governance, and ethical data‑sharing practices.
• Monitor GIS tool impact, refine methodologies based on performance metrics and emerging technologies.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading GIS teams in a health or public‑sector context.
• Strong understanding of geospatial data governance, metadata standards, and ethical data sharing.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with senior leadership, technical advisors, and field staff.
• Excellent communication skills for translating spatial analysis into clear, actionable insights.
