Senior Data Scientist – Healthcare Analytics

About the role

Reliance Health is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to turn complex healthcare data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions. You will design, build, and deploy advanced machine‑learning models while communicating findings to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end data science projects, from data collection and preprocessing to model deployment and delivery.
• Design, implement, and maintain advanced ML models such as regression, clustering, anomaly detection, and NLP applications.
• Write optimized SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets.
• Translate complex data insights into clear recommendations for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define data requirements and build scalable analytical solutions.
• Monitor model performance, conduct A/B tests, and continuously improve model accuracy.
• Document methodologies, workflows, and data dictionaries for reproducibility.
• Mentor junior data scientists and promote best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4‑5+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or machine‑learning roles, including production‑level model deployment.
• Proven ability to lead projects and influence both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Required skills

• Python or R for data manipulation and ML modeling.
• Expert‑level SQL for large‑scale data querying.
• Experience with regression, clustering, anomaly detection, and NLP.
• Proficiency with ML frameworks such as scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
• Visualization tools: Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib, seaborn.
• Solid understanding of statistics, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.
