Senior Associate – Reporting, Data & Analytics

About the role

Acumen is looking for a detail‑oriented Senior Associate to lead reporting, data management and analytics for its Africa‑focused empowerment programme. The role is based in either Nairobi or Lagos and requires regular office presence to support the Impact Manager and regional partners.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the MEL technology platform, including tools such as Salesforce, Power BI and Airtable.
• Develop quarterly reporting processes and produce routine dashboards on impact and financial KPIs.
• Conduct data analysis, create infographics and visualisations, and support insight generation for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Finance to integrate financial data with impact metrics, including Impact‑Linked Finance reporting.
• Advise on AI‑powered solutions to improve MEL activities and build data capacity of partners.

Required profile

• At least five years of experience working with MEL data systems in an international development context.
• Strong technical aptitude for data management, visualisation and emerging AI tools.
• Ability to work onsite three days a week in Nairobi or Lagos and travel within the region as needed.
