About the role
Rayfield Associates is seeking a Senior Associate Lawyer to lead complex client matters from initial consultation through resolution. The role involves high‑level legal drafting, advocacy, and mentorship of junior staff while supporting the firm’s strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Manage client matters, including contract drafting, legal opinions, and dispute resolution.
- Represent clients before courts, tribunals, and regulatory bodies.
- Lead negotiations, mediations, and settlement discussions.
- Supervise and mentor junior associates and support staff.
- Conduct in‑depth legal research and stay current with relevant laws.
- Contribute to business development and firm‑wide initiatives.
Required profile
- Second‑class upper Bachelor’s degree in Law.
- Minimum 7 years post‑call experience in a reputable law firm or in‑house department.
- Proven expertise in at least one key practice area (e.g., litigation, corporate/commercial, regulatory compliance).
- Strong advocacy, negotiation, and client‑focused advisory skills.
- Leadership ability to manage junior colleagues and foster collaboration.
Required skills
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
- Experience using legal research tools.
- Familiarity with digital document‑management and case‑management systems.
