About the role

247Bet is seeking a Senior Accountant with strong treasury experience to join its finance team in Lagos. This full‑time hybrid position will support the rapid growth of a high‑transaction volume betting and gaming platform, ensuring accurate cash management, compliance, and financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day cash and treasury operations, including daily reconciliation of bank accounts and payment channels.
• Prepare cash‑flow forecasts and oversee liquidity management.
• Own accounts payable and receivable, processing supplier payments and tracking outstanding amounts.
• Maintain accurate general ledger entries and journal postings.
• Support tax compliance (CIT, WHT, VAT, PAYE) and ensure timely remittance and filing.
• Ensure regulatory compliance for pension contributions and related deductions.
• Assist with monthly payroll runs and period‑close activities.
• Prepare schedules for management review and external audit.
• Apply and maintain financial controls, approval processes, and identify automation opportunities.

Required profile

• 5+ years of finance and accounting experience, with a focus on treasury and cash management.
• Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, ACA or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax and statutory regulations.
• Experience in fast‑paced, high‑transaction environments (fintech, payments, e‑commerce, gaming, FMCG, etc.).
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure with limited supervision.
