Portfolio Credit Analyst

About the role

The Credit Portfolio Analyst will oversee, monitor, analyse and report on the bank’s credit portfolio across all business segments, ensuring exposures stay within the approved risk appetite, regulatory requirements and internal policies. The role works closely with coverage, risk, finance, legal and compliance teams to maintain strong credit governance and improve portfolio analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Track and monitor key parameters of the Credit Risk Appetite Framework, including portfolio and counter‑party limits.
• Lead quarterly stress‑testing and scenario analysis of the credit portfolio and support the ICAAP workflow.
• Compute and report Credit Risk capital in line with Basel requirements and monitor compliance with regulatory frameworks.
• Prepare and present management, board and regulatory reports for the Credit function.
• Daily monitoring of client‑level exposures, escalation of breaches and recommendation of corrective actions.
• Manage the Expected Credit Loss (ECL) model to ensure IFRS 9 compliance and advise stakeholders on provisions.
• Develop and automate data collection, reporting processes and statistical models for portfolio analytics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with at least a Second‑Class Upper division or equivalent.
• Relevant professional qualification in accounting, finance or risk management is desirable.
• 3‑4 years of experience in credit risk, portfolio analysis or a related financial field.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (including complex formulas and pivot tables).
• SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Power BI for visualisation and reporting.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint).
• Credit analysis, financial analysis and financial modelling.
