Security Operative – On‑site Guard

About the role

The Security Operative role is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Lagos, responsible for safeguarding people, assets and premises. You will work directly with clients, visitors and residents to ensure a safe environment.

Key responsibilities

• Control access to facilities and monitor entry/exit points.
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas and respond to alarms or emergencies.
• Report security incidents, suspicious activities and maintain accurate incident logs.
• Support conflict management and collaborate with supervisors and quick‑reaction teams.
• Interact professionally with clients, visitors and residents while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Strong physical security skills including access control, perimeter protection and patrolling.
• Basic information‑security awareness and understanding of secure network practices.
• Clear communication abilities for report writing and interaction with law‑enforcement.
• Ability to work shifts (including nights, weekends and holidays), stand for extended periods and remain calm under pressure.
• Minimum secondary school education; security certifications or prior law‑enforcement experience are advantageous.
• Clean background check and compliance with company vetting requirements.
