Security Officer – Estate Protection

About the role

The Security Officer is responsible for safeguarding lives, property and assets within a residential estate. This role ensures a safe environment for residents, visitors, staff and contractors by enforcing security policies and monitoring access points.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control entry and exit points, recording details of visitors, contractors and vehicles.
• Conduct regular patrols throughout the estate to detect and prevent security breaches.
• Enforce compliance with estate security rules for residents and visitors.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, disturbances or suspicious activities.
• Report all incidents, damages or security concerns to the supervisor immediately.
• Operate security equipment such as CCTV, communication radios and gate systems.
• Assist with crowd control during events or peak movement periods.
• Provide thorough handover reports during shift changes.

Required profile

• Minimum SSCE or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in security, preferably in residential estates or similar facilities.
• Good communication skills and ability to write basic reports.
• Physically fit, alert and able to remain calm under pressure.
• Basic knowledge of security procedures and access control.
