Security Implementation Engineer - Remote

About the role

We are looking for a technical and customer‑focused Security Implementation Engineer to join COGNNA’s team. The role drives end‑to‑end integration of new clients into our security monitoring platform, ensuring seamless onboarding and operational readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical onboarding for new customers, from kickoff to full operational status.
• Integrate diverse log sources (firewalls, servers, cloud platforms, applications) into the security data lake.
• Develop and configure custom parsers and connectors for accurate data ingestion and normalization.
• Troubleshoot agent installations, log forwarding, and connectivity issues on Linux and Windows environments.
• Serve as the primary technical resource for complex infrastructure and OS‑level problems that affect data collection.
• Document and automate onboarding processes to improve efficiency.
• Provide security advisory guidance on logging best practices and architecture.
• Collaborate with the SOC and account managers for smooth client handover.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on experience in a cybersecurity implementation or support role (e.g., SOC Engineer, SIEM Engineer, Security Consultant).
• Proven ability to manage and troubleshoot production Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS) and Windows Server environments.
