Security Guard

About the role

The Security Guard position is a full‑time, on‑site role located on Lagos Island. You will be responsible for safeguarding the company's premises, assets, and personnel while providing courteous service to employees, visitors, and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and protect company premises, including controlling access points and verifying visitor and contractor identification.
• Conduct regular patrols of the site and observe/report any suspicious activities.
• Enforce safety and security procedures, respond to alarms and incidents, and assist in emergency situations such as evacuations.
• Provide directions and customer service to employees, visitors, and clients.
• Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and collaborate with supervisors and other security personnel.

Required profile

• Strong physical security skills, including patrolling, access control, and surveillance.
• Experience in personnel security or private security, preferably with a background in law enforcement or the military.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer‑service abilities.
• Ability to stay alert, calm, and decisive in high‑pressure or emergency situations.
• Basic report‑writing skills and the capacity to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good physical fitness and willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Relevant security training, certification, or license in Nigeria is beneficial.
