Security Dispatch Supervisor

About the role

The Security Dispatch Supervisor will lead the hospital’s security dispatch centre, ensuring rapid response to incidents and maintaining a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors. This position coordinates security personnel, monitors surveillance systems and keeps detailed records of all dispatch activities.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process incoming security assistance calls, prioritize based on urgency, and dispatch personnel to the required locations.
• Monitor CCTV and other surveillance equipment, maintaining accurate logs of dispatch actions.
• Document security incidents, prepare detailed reports and analyse data to identify trends.
• Coordinate emergency response with police, fire services and other agencies, activating notification systems as needed.
• Support security staff during critical incidents and ensure calm, composed handling of stressful situations.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the security field, preferably within a hospital setting.
• Higher National Diploma, associate or bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (preferred).
• Professional certification or membership of a recognized security body.
• Strong knowledge of hospital security protocols, access control, incident command systems and emergency procedures.
• Ability to work under pressure, maintain confidentiality and demonstrate proactive, detail‑oriented behaviour.

Required skills

• Proficiency with radio communication systems and dispatch technology.
• Experience monitoring and operating surveillance camera systems.
• Knowledge of incident command and classification systems for emergency management.
