Scriptwriter & Storyteller – Lagos (Onsite)

About the role

Our client is seeking a talented and creative Scriptwriter & Storyteller to join their team in Lagos. The role involves developing compelling stories, scripts, concepts and creative content that effectively communicate ideas, engage audiences and align with the brand’s creative direction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop original scripts, story concepts and narratives for various platforms and formats.
• Research, structure and write engaging dialogue, scenes and storylines that capture the intended tone and emotion.
• Collaborate with creative teams, producers, directors and content creators to refine concepts.
• Adapt briefs or existing ideas into well‑structured scripts and compelling stories.
• Review, edit and rewrite scripts based on feedback while maintaining core messaging.
• Conduct research to ensure stories are authentic, accurate and audience‑focused.
• Manage multiple writing projects and meet agreed deadlines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Mass Communication, Creative Writing, Theatre Arts, Film/Media Studies, Journalism or a related field.
• Proven experience writing scripts or narrative‑driven content for digital, video, film, television or social media.
• Strong command of written and spoken English with excellent storytelling and narrative development skills.
• Ability to translate briefs into engaging, original stories and to incorporate feedback effectively.
• Strong research, critical‑thinking and time‑management abilities.
• Willingness to work fully onsite in Lagos.
