Scrap Recycling Supervisor

About the role

The Scrap Recycling Supervisor will lead daily operations in the scrap yard, ensuring that aluminium scrap is correctly sorted, weighed, and recorded. This on‑site position reports directly to management and plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of the recycling chain.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily scrap recycling and sorting activities.
• Inspect incoming loads to identify and remove rejects such as iron and other contaminants.
• Monitor weighbridge transactions to prevent rejected material from being recorded as usable scrap.
• Lead, train, and discipline sorting staff on proper recycling procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of accepted and rejected scrap volumes.
• Report any irregularities or suspected malpractice to management immediately.
• Ensure compliance with safety and housekeeping standards in the yard.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in any discipline.
• At least 2 years of supervisory or factory experience, preferably in manufacturing, recycling, or FMCG.
• High integrity with zero tolerance for dishonesty.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot material anomalies.
• Good leadership, record‑keeping, and reporting abilities.
