Salesperson / Technician – Solar Energy (Physics Expertise)

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position combines sales and technical duties for a solar energy company in Lagos. You will engage customers, explain solar solutions, and support the entire project lifecycle from design to maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Engage prospective and existing customers, present solar energy solutions, and close sales.
• Prepare accurate quotations and maintain sales activity records.
• Conduct site visits, assess energy needs, and assist in system design.
• Support installation, testing, and maintenance of solar power systems.
• Apply strong physics knowledge to evaluate performance and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Provide product demonstrations, after‑sales support, and collaborate with internal teams.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in physics with ability to apply concepts to solar systems.
• Hands‑on experience in solar installation and basic electrical work.
• Proven sales and customer‑facing abilities, including prospecting and negotiation.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail, safety‑conscious, and able to work onsite in Lagos.
• Relevant technical or scientific education (Physics, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, etc.).
• Professional certifications in solar or electrical installations are a plus.
• Prior experience in solar energy, electrical systems, or technical sales is highly beneficial.
