Salesperson - Insurance

About the role

Heirs Insurance Group, a family of insurance companies including Heirs General, Heirs Life and Heirs Insurance Brokers, is hiring a full-time Salesperson in Lagos. The position is hybrid, combining on-site work with some work-from-home flexibility. The Salesperson engages prospective and existing clients, presents insurance products and guides them on suitable coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and qualify leads, conduct sales meetings and presentations, prepare proposals and follow up to close sales.
• Maintain accurate records in CRM or sales systems and meet individual and team sales targets.
• Collaborate with underwriting and customer service teams.
• Take part in marketing campaigns, attend events or client visits, and uphold a high standard of customer experience and compliance with company policies.

Required profile

• Demonstrated sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships, identify customer needs and close deals.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a customer-service orientation.
• Basic analytical and organizational skills to manage pipelines and track performance metrics.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
• Prior experience in insurance, financial services or a related sales role is an advantage; post-secondary education in business, marketing, finance or a related field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
