Sales Person / Store Keeper (Retail Cashier)

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and efficient Sales Person/Store Keeper to join our school’s retail team in Benin City. You will be the first point of contact for customers, ensuring smooth transactions and a welcoming environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them throughout their visit.
• Accurately count and reconcile cash at the start and end of each shift.
• Scan items, bag purchases, issue receipts, and handle cash payments.
• Maintain a clean, organized checkout area.
• Support stock‑taking and inventory management when needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues to keep operations flowing during peak periods.

Required profile

• BSC, HND or Diploma in Accounting.
• Previous experience as a cashier or in a retail environment (preferred).
• Computer literate with strong numeracy skills.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast‑paced setting.
• Excellent attention to detail and good time‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
• Experience operating cash registers.
• Computer literacy.
