Sales & Marketing Strategist

About the role

The Sales & Marketing Strategist will drive merchant acquisition for Laddar across Nigeria, combining on‑ground visits with digital outreach. You will be responsible for converting leads into paying subscribers and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, approach, and engage both physical and online merchants.
• Visit business locations to pitch the company and follow up on campaign‑generated leads.
• Communicate the company’s value proposition and handle objections.
• Maintain daily outreach activities including calls, messages, in‑person visits, and demos.
• Track and manage leads throughout the sales pipeline.
• Support merchant onboarding and encourage first transactions within 24–48 hours.
• Gather merchant feedback and share insights during weekly team syncs.
• Collaborate with internal teams to refine sales strategies and onboarding processes.
• Own sales targets, maintain strong activity levels, and consistently follow up until outcomes are clear.

Required profile

• Minimum qualification of an HND.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar sales or merchant acquisition role.
• Results‑driven with a focus on conversions.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Adaptability to feedback and evolving strategies.
