Sales Manager - Hotel Rooms, Events & Banquets

About the role

A hotel is looking for a results-driven, commercially minded Sales Executive to drive revenue growth by promoting its rooms, event spaces and banqueting facilities. The role covers corporate accounts, group bookings and event business, with a focus on the Lagos hospitality market.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales plans to meet room, banquet and overall revenue targets.
• Sell to corporate, government, airline, NGO, oil & gas, travel agent and diplomatic markets, sourcing and negotiating contracts, group bookings, long-stay agreements and event business.
• Make regular sales calls, client visits and networking activities in Lagos and surrounding areas, and prepare proposals, contracts and rate negotiations.
• Manage key accounts, handle client feedback and complaints, and organize client entertainment, familiarization trips and site inspections.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, pricing and demand patterns.
• Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly sales reports, forecasts and performance analyses, and keep client records and pipelines in CRM or sales systems.
• Work with Front Office, Reservations, Revenue, Banqueting and Operations, and coordinate with Marketing on promotions and campaigns.
• Promote event spaces (hall) and banqueting facilities, aiming for at least 3 corporate or leisure events per month.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of relevant sales experience, preferably in hospitality or real estate.
• HND or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management or a related field.
• Experience selling hotel rooms, event spaces or banqueting facilities is an advantage.

Required skills

• Business development, negotiation, presentation and client relationship management.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to turn prospects into paying clients and manage multiple accounts.

What we offer

• Monthly net salary of 350,000 plus service charge.
