Sales Manager Gourmet

About the role

The Sales Manager Gourmet will drive sales performance for Barry Callebaut’s premium product range across a defined territory. You will lead distributor teams, build strong customer relationships, and deliver on ambitious revenue targets while aligning with the company’s overall sales strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and present annual sales strategies, forecasts and budgets.
• Gather market intelligence and expand the visibility of Barry Callebaut’s products.
• Identify and pursue sales leads, visit existing and new customers, negotiate pricing and delivery within authority limits, and close orders.
• Configure product solutions to meet short‑term and long‑term customer needs and negotiate contractual terms.
• Feed sales leads, competitor insights and customer feedback to internal teams.
• Set and track weekly, monthly and quarterly sales plans, prioritising activities to meet targets.
• Maintain and improve the CRM system, using Salesforce to manage pipelines.
• Coach and develop the sales team to continuously raise performance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional departments to strengthen internal and external relationships.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing or a related field.
• 10+ years of sales management experience, preferably in a similar market.
• Strong commercial acumen with a proven ability to grow business.
• Experience in planning, budgeting and structured business development.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Excellent relationship‑building, networking and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of HR processes, systems and tools.
