Sales Executive (Freights) - Logistics

About the role

A full-time Logistics Sales Executive position based in Lagos, focused on corporate and individual clients in the freight and shipping space. The role covers business development, client relations and lead generation.

Key responsibilities

• Bring a portfolio or network of corporate and individual clients.
• Develop new business relationships, generate and negotiate new business opportunities.
• Act as the interface with potential clients through onsite meetings, telephone calls and presentations that promote the brand and services.
• Maintain good relationships with existing clients.
• Prepare marketing plans and strategies.
• Handle lead generation and appointment setting.

Required profile

• HND or B.Sc in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in sales, marketing or business development within a logistics, shipping or freight management company.
• Verifiable track record of sales performance and client contacts.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service and sales skills, and confident negotiation and deal-closing ability.

Required skills

• Strong communication, interpersonal and business writing skills, especially for proposals.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially PowerPoint.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to generate ideas and solutions.
