Sales Executive - Food & FMCG Distribution

About the role

An experienced Sales Executive is sought to drive revenue growth, manage wholesale customers and distributors, expand market coverage and deliver excellent customer service in the food distribution sector. The position is based in Lagos, Nigeria.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
• Develop and maintain relationships with wholesale customers and distributors.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand market reach.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and pricing.
• Ensure timely customer payments and effective credit control.
• Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams for timely deliveries.
• Prepare regular sales reports and resolve customer complaints.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (mandatory); Accountancy or an MBA in Finance/Marketing is an advantage.
• 4-8 years of sales experience in Food, FMCG, Seafood, Frozen Fish or Distribution.
• Experience in marine, fisheries or seafood sales is an added advantage.
• Willingness to travel extensively within assigned territories.

Required skills

• Strong negotiation, communication and customer relationship management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• ERP or sales management software experience is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, reporting and problem-solving skills.

Performance is measured by sales revenue and gross profit, new customer acquisition and retention, collection efficiency, territory coverage, product availability, customer satisfaction and sales forecast accuracy. Interested candidates should send their CV by email.
