Sales Executive / Business Development Officer

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing fintech firm, is looking for a proactive Sales Executive / Business Development Officer to expand its market presence in Lagos. You will identify new opportunities, build lasting client relationships, and drive revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and pursue new business opportunities across assigned markets.
• Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline through networking, referrals, outbound outreach and strategic partnerships.
• Present fintech products and solutions to prospects via meetings, demos and presentations.
• Prepare proposals, quotations and contract documentation.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms while ensuring profitability.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
• Conduct market research to spot emerging opportunities and monitor competitor activity.
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to refine acquisition strategies.
• Maintain accurate sales records in the CRM and produce regular forecasts and pipeline reports.
• Represent the company at industry events and networking sessions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, business development or account management.
• Experience in fintech, financial services, technology or SaaS is an advantage.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong negotiation, presentation and communication abilities.
• Excellent relationship‑building and stakeholder‑management skills.
