Sales and Marketing Executive - Travel

About the role

A travel and tourism company is hiring a Sales and Marketing Executive in Lagos (Marina, with the location also listed as Victoria Island). The role covers customer enquiries, lead generation, bookings and promotion of travel services such as flights, hotels, holiday packages, tours, visa assistance and corporate travel.

Key responsibilities

• Manage customer enquiries by telephone, email, WhatsApp, social media and other approved channels.
• Generate leads, follow up on quotations, convert prospects into bookings and drive repeat business and referrals.
• Promote travel services including flights, hotels, holiday packages, tours, visa assistance and corporate travel.
• Identify new customers, corporate accounts, travel agents and business development opportunities.
• Execute approved sales and marketing campaigns, coordinate digital promotions and recommend strategies to improve brand visibility and sales performance.
• Maintain an updated customer database, sales pipeline and records of enquiries, quotations, follow-ups and sales outcomes.
• Liaise with Operations to obtain quotations, confirm availability and facilitate bookings, ensuring compliance with pricing, payment, ticketing and booking procedures.
• Submit daily sales updates and weekly reports on leads, conversions, bookings, revenue and marketing activities; escalate complaints and matters needing management approval.

Required profile

• Minimum of OND in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales or a related field.
• At least two years of relevant sales or marketing experience.
• Experience in travel, tourism, hospitality or another customer-facing industry is an advantage.
• Strong communication, negotiation, customer service and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently, meet targets and deliver measurable results.

Required skills

• Familiarity with digital marketing and social media.
• Familiarity with CRM tools and Microsoft Office.
