Route to Market Manager

About the role

The Route to Market (RTM) Manager will lead the definition and execution of the D2R (Direct to Retail) strategy for Lafarge Africa Plc in Nigeria. Reporting to the Head of Business Development, the role involves designing the end‑to‑end model, coordinating cross‑functional teams and ensuring alignment with sales, logistics, marketing and finance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute the overall D2R project, acting as the primary interface with outsourced analytics partners such as BCG.
• Validate all critical elements of the final design, including sales, logistics, marketing and finance.
• Develop and manage the rollout calendar and set the strategic agenda for each functional area.
• Participate actively in marketing and logistics leadership meetings.
• Support recruitment and management of a skilled core team, providing weekly updates to project leadership and the steering committee.

Required profile

• First degree in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 10 + years of consumer/retail experience in Nigeria, preferably in RTM.
• Deep knowledge of the Nigerian retail ecosystem and strong project‑management experience.
• Demonstrated leadership in large‑scale change management and cross‑functional team coordination.
