Retail Salesperson - Insurance

About the role

Heirs Insurance Group, a family of insurance companies offering protection and financial solutions beyond traditional insurance, is hiring a full-time Retail Salesperson in Lagos. The position is hybrid, combining in-office and work-from-home duties, and covers walk-in and referred customers.

Key responsibilities

• Engage walk-in and referred customers and present insurance products clearly.
• Guide customers through policy selection and purchase, explaining features, benefits and terms.
• Answer questions, handle inquiries and complaints, process applications and follow up with prospects to close sales.
• Maintain accurate customer records and meet individual and team sales targets.
• Support promotional activities and collaborate with colleagues to improve customer experience.
• Uphold ethical sales practices and represent the group professionally.

Required profile

• Strong retail sales skills and the ability to convert leads and meet targets.
• Solid product knowledge of insurance offerings.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Relevant experience in retail or financial services, particularly insurance, is beneficial.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setting, manage time and stay organized with minimal supervision.
• Minimum of a high school diploma; a degree or professional certification in business, marketing or a related field is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with basic office software and customer relationship management tools is an advantage.
