Reservations Clerk

About the role

The Reservations Clerk supports Marriott’s front‑office operations by handling all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations. This full‑time position ensures guests receive accurate information and a smooth booking experience.

Key responsibilities

• Process reservation requests, modifications, and cancellations received via phone, fax, or mail.
• Identify guest needs, verify room availability, and confirm rates.
• Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers.
• Document special requests and answer questions about property facilities and services.
• Apply sales techniques to maximize revenue and input accurate data into the reservation system.
• Code special room types (complimentary, employee discounts, travel‑agent rates, wholesale) correctly.
• Escalate guest concerns following proper procedures.
• Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality, and compliance with company policies.
• Assist guests with disabilities and provide courteous service.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification needed.
