Research and Insight Manager – SSA & Americas

About the role

The Research and Insight Manager will work closely with teams across the Americas and Sub‑Saharan Africa to ensure that research and evaluation outputs are turned into actionable insight for internal and external stakeholders. The role bridges global insight functions with country‑level knowledge, supporting strategic decision‑making, partnership development and policy engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Prioritise and manage a diverse portfolio of research and evaluation projects, curating and sharing insight for colleagues in the Americas and Sub‑Saharan Africa.
• Coordinate work plans with Research & Insight and Evidence, Evaluation & Learning teams to anticipate strategic demands and maintain a steady flow of insight.
• Partner with sector and country teams to identify stakeholder needs and advise on research initiatives that enhance knowledge exchange and business development.
• Act as the primary liaison between global insight functions and country‑focused expertise, fostering good research practice.
• Create high‑quality reports, policy briefs, knowledge summaries, infographics, newsletters and case studies that translate evidence into actionable recommendations.
• Contribute to external publications, manage stakeholder engagement channels and brief senior leaders on emerging insights.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing research, evaluation or insight portfolios.
• Strong ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and geographies.
• Excellent written communication skills for producing reports, briefs and visual content.
• Demonstrated capacity to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for senior audiences.
