Research Analyst – Energy Market Insights

About the role

Talenthub HR Network is looking for a curious and detail‑oriented Research Analyst to support market research, competitive intelligence, and strategic insights across the energy sector. The role works remotely and reports directly to the CEO, collaborating with an external partner in climate technology and finance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed research on energy sectors, especially data centres and emerging energy technologies, and analyse investment trends, project development, supply chains and commercialisation opportunities.
• Consolidate findings into clear, practical summaries, maintain organised research databases, and prepare well‑structured reports and presentations for business decision‑making.
• Use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini to improve research efficiency, identify automation opportunities and streamline information synthesis.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand research requirements, present findings clearly and support business objectives.

Required profile

• A degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Physics, Environmental or Climate Studies or a related science discipline.
• At least 3 years of research experience or relevant experience within the energy industry.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and confidence using AI and automation tools.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AI tools: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini.
• Advanced use of Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with research methodologies and data entry/project tracking.

What we offer

• Contract position (6 months) with the possibility of extension based on performance.
• Competitive gross salary of ₦400,000–₦600,000 per month.
