Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn & Child Health Specialist

About the role

Sydani Group is looking for a Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (RMNCH) Specialist to provide technical leadership across its health programmes. The specialist will design, implement, monitor and improve RMNCH interventions in partnership with government agencies, development partners and health facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review RMNCH strategies, workplans and technical plans aligned with national policies and evidence.
• Strengthen service delivery across antenatal, childbirth, postnatal and newborn care through facility assessments, provider training, mentorship and quality‑improvement plans.
• Provide technical assistance to Federal and State Ministries of Health, State Primary Health Care Development Agencies and implementing partners, including workshops and technical working groups.
• Design monitoring frameworks, analyse programme data to identify performance gaps and document lessons learned.
• Produce technical reports, policy briefs, case studies and timely updates for government and partners.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Public Health, Nursing, Midwifery or related field; specific RMNCH training is an asset.
• 5‑7 years of experience designing and managing RMNCH programmes.
• Familiarity with Nigeria’s health system and ability to collaborate with government officials.
• Proven experience working with local and international partners and donors.
• Excellent facilitation, team‑building, coordination and technical writing skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently to project implementation states, especially in Northern Nigeria.
