Remote LLM Trainer (Agent Function call)

About the role

This remote position supports foundational large language model (LLM) companies by creating high‑quality proprietary data for fine‑tuning and evaluation. You will design realistic multi‑turn conversations where an AI assistant uses function‑calling tools to achieve user goals.

Key responsibilities

• Design multi‑turn dialogues that simulate real interactions between users and AI assistants using tools such as calendar, email, maps, and drive.
• Play both the user and the assistant, including realistic tool‑call sequences when corrections are needed.
• Select when and how the assistant employs available tools, ensuring logical flow and correct function calls.
• Produce dialogues that showcase natural language, intelligent behavior, and contextual understanding across multiple turns.
• Generate examples that demonstrate task completion, recognition of infeasible requests, and engaging general chat when tools are unnecessary.
• Follow strict formatting and quality guidelines using an internal playbook.
• Iterate on examples based on reviewer feedback to improve realism and clarity.
• Collaborate with peers and reviewers to maintain consistency and high standards.

Required profile

• Strong technical reasoning and the ability to model real‑world assistant behavior using tool‑based APIs.
• Capability to break down complex tasks and simulate realistic dialogues reflecting user expectations and assistant limitations.
• Experience with any programming language or tech stack; emphasis on API knowledge, data formats, and logical thinking.
• Excellent written English communication with focus on clarity, tone, and instructional coherence.
