About the role
Quora is looking for a remote Data Scientist to join its Ads data team. You will partner with sales leadership, product managers, and engineers to design measurements, build visualizations, and run experiments that uncover usage patterns and growth opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Extract actionable insights from open‑ended questions to influence sales and product strategy.
- Analyze data to diagnose metric movements and identify growth levers.
- Design, implement, and evaluate A/B tests to inform product decisions.
- Develop metrics and dashboards that guide business development and track success.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to key stakeholders.
- Mentor other data scientists, contribute tooling, and promote best practices.
Required profile
- Availability for meetings during Quora’s coordination hours (Mon‑Fri 9 am‑3 pm PT).
- B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline.
- 4+ years of experience in sales analytics, product analytics, or data science at a consumer‑tech company.
