Registered Nurse

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team in Port Harcourt. The role involves delivering high‑quality patient care across admission, treatment, and discharge phases while collaborating with multidisciplinary staff.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical, emotional and psychological conditions on admission and throughout their stay.
• Develop, implement and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications, injections, IV fluids and prescribed treatments.
• Monitor vital signs, observe health changes and report to physicians.
• Assist doctors during examinations, procedures and emergencies.
• Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation.
• Educate patients and families on disease prevention, medication use and healthy lifestyles.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies, providing first aid and life‑saving interventions.
• Ensure strict adherence to infection‑control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Collect specimens for laboratory analysis and operate medical equipment safely.
• Participate in ward rounds, nursing meetings and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse qualification from an accredited nursing school.
• Valid registration and practicing license with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
• Minimum 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience in hospital or similar settings.
• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision‑making abilities.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (preferred).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (preferred).
