Quantity Surveyor

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor will be based on‑site in Abuja, working full‑time to support the planning, execution and monitoring of construction and infrastructure projects. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered cost‑effectively while meeting quality, safety and sustainability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review cost estimates, bills of quantities, tender documents and contract variations.
• Conduct site measurements, valuations and progress assessments.
• Track project budgets, monitor expenditures and produce regular cost reports for managers and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, contractors and clients to deliver cost‑effective solutions.
• Support risk analysis, value engineering and the implementation of company procedures that enhance efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional certification or membership (e.g., NIQS) is an advantage.
• Prior experience on infrastructure, telecommunications or large‑scale construction projects in Nigeria.
• Ability to work on‑site in Abuja, manage multiple assignments and uphold high ethical standards.

Required skills

• Strong cost estimating, budgeting and financial analysis capabilities.
• Proficiency in preparing bills of quantities, tender documents and managing contract variations.
• Experience with site measurement, project monitoring and progress valuation.
• Competence in quantity surveying and project management software such as MS Excel, MS Project and other cost‑management tools.
• Effective stakeholder communication and negotiation within multidisciplinary teams.
