Quality Control/Assurance Officer

About the role

The Quality Control/Assurance Officer will lead daily quality activities in our spice production facility located in Nasarawa, Marina. You will ensure that all products meet the highest food safety standards and comply with Nigerian regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily quality control and assurance operations within the production plant.
• Conduct routine inspections, audits, and product tests to verify compliance.
• Develop, implement, and enforce food safety and quality control procedures.
• Maintain compliance with SON (Standards Organisation of Nigeria) and NAFDAC regulations.
• Maintain accurate quality records and documentation.
• Train production staff on food safety, hygiene, and quality practices.
• Investigate and resolve quality‑related complaints or issues.

Required profile

• B.Sc in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related food discipline.
• Minimum three years of proven experience in a similar quality control/assurance role within the food industry, preferably in spice production.
• In‑depth knowledge of SON and NAFDAC policies and compliance procedures.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
