Quality Compliance Officer

About the role

The Quality Compliance Officer ensures that Jawa International Limited complies with all legal, regulatory and industry standards, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and NAFDAC requirements. The role involves auditing, policy development, risk assessment and acting as the main contact during regulatory inspections.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to guarantee manufacturing processes meet GMP and other regulatory standards.
• Plan and conduct internal compliance audits across production, quality control and distribution, and prepare detailed audit reports.
• Develop, maintain and update compliance policies and SOPs in line with regulatory changes.
• Design and deliver compliance training programs and maintain training records.
• Identify compliance risks, conduct risk assessments for new projects, and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Serve as the primary liaison during regulatory inspections, coordinate post‑inspection actions and manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Oversee handling of customer complaints, adverse event reports and product recalls to ensure regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• B.Sc. or HND in Physical Sciences or Biological Sciences.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing regulations, especially NAFDAC.
• Excellent organizational, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• High ethical standards and strong commitment to regulatory compliance.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with electronic document management systems (EDMS).
