QA/QC Manager – Soybean Crude Oil Production

About the role

The QA/QC Manager will lead all quality assurance and control activities for a soybean crude oil production facility in Lagos. You will ensure raw materials, processes, and finished products meet food‑safety regulations, industry standards, and customer specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve quality control procedures and inspection programs across the production line.
• Supervise testing of incoming soybeans for moisture, foreign material, damaged kernels and oil content.
• Monitor critical parameters during cleaning, dehulling, conditioning, flaking, solvent extraction and desolventizing.
• Oversee laboratory analysis of crude soybean oil (FFA, PV, moisture, impurities, color, odor) and authorize product release.
• Maintain compliance with GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000, ISO 9001, FDA, NAFDAC and other statutory requirements.
• Manage the Quality Management System, prepare for internal, customer and regulatory audits, and keep complete documentation.
• Direct daily laboratory operations, ensure equipment calibration, validate methods and update SOPs.
• Lead, train and evaluate laboratory technicians and quality personnel.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Food Science, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Microbiology or related field.
• 5‑8 years progressive experience in quality control/assurance within edible‑oil, food processing or manufacturing.
