Inspection and Coding Specialist

About the role

The Key Purpose of this role is to perform activities related to inspection and coding optimization and apply VPO principles. The Inspection and Coding Specialist must ensure a safe and healthy working environment, support the installation of process control and relevant electrical systems, and maintain, calibrate, and repair equipment to ensure plant availability and product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret process specifications and modify/optimise process control software according to standards.
• Identify and resolve process control software deviations, supporting change‑management.
• Maintain software integrity, security and support preventative‑maintenance procedures for inspection and coding systems.
• Troubleshoot packaging inspection and coding systems, and work with manufacturers for equipment repairs.
• Maintain, calibrate, and repair equipment, optimise plant devices, and ensure safe working conditions.
• Provide engineering support for new and existing equipment installations, upgrades and enhancements.
• Locate plant assets, spares and documentation, plan jobs and carry out repairs/maintenance.
• Continuously improve plant processes, operate equipment, and apply VPO principles.

Required profile

• HND or B.Sc. in Engineering Studies.
• Trade‑tested Millwright or Electrician.
• 3‑6 months on‑the‑job training plus vendor maintenance experience.
• Routine electrical and instrumentation maintenance experience.
