Purchasing Coordinator

About the role

The Purchasing Coordinator will oversee procurement activities to support operational efficiency across marine logistics and engineering projects. This role ensures timely sourcing, negotiation, and delivery of goods and services while maintaining cost effectiveness and compliance with company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review and process purchase requests from all departments, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
• Source, evaluate, and onboard suppliers that meet technical and commercial criteria.
• Issue RFQs, RFIs, and tenders; analyse quotations and conduct supplier background checks.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, and specifications to achieve best value.
• Create and manage purchase orders, maintaining proper documentation in procurement systems.
• Track orders from issuance to final delivery and monitor logistics performance.
• Maintain up‑to‑date procurement records and ensure PR/PO cycle closure within defined timelines.
• Support cost‑saving initiatives and continuously improve procurement processes.
• Develop and keep an updated supplier database and manage tender compliance.

Required profile

• HND or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Purchasing, or a related technical field.
• 3–5 years of procurement or supply‑chain experience, preferably in marine logistics or oil & gas.
• Strong negotiation, vendor management, and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
