Public Health Professional

About the role

The Public Health Professional will work to protect community health by monitoring disease outbreaks, analysing health data, and designing effective intervention strategies. This role also involves leading educational initiatives and collaborating with government and health organisations to improve public health outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor disease outbreaks and analyse health data to identify trends.
• Design, implement and evaluate public health intervention strategies.
• Develop and deliver educational workshops and seminars to promote healthy behaviours.
• Draft public health policies, write grant proposals and secure funding.
• Coordinate public health programmes ensuring compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
• Act as liaison between community members, health organisations and government entities.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or a related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for public speaking, proposal writing and reporting.
• Ability to lead diverse teams, manage budgets and oversee programmes.
• Understanding of public health laws, ethical standards and health disparities.
