Pharmacologist – Medication Dispensing & Inventory

About the role

The Pharmacologist will manage medication dispensing for both in‑patient and out‑patient services at Twins Clinic and Hospital. Working under supervision, you will ensure safe and accurate delivery of drugs while maintaining inventory using the EMR system.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense medications for in‑patient and out‑patient departments using the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
• Stock in and stock out medications and medical consumables, maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Conduct regular stock audits, verify the quality of incoming drugs, and manage supply requisitions.
• Enforce medication safety protocols and adhere to guidelines from PCN, NAFDAC, and pharmacovigilance standards.
• Greet patients, answer medication‑related queries, and assist with medication billing.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in medication dispensing or a related pharmacy role.
• OND (Ordinary National Diploma) in Pharmacy, Pharmacology or a related field.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Effective use of email for correspondence.
• Experience with Lumi Merchant or similar inventory management applications.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems for medication dispensing.
