Public Health Officer – Community Programs

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Public Health Officer to join our team in Lagos. The role focuses on planning and delivering community health programs, monitoring disease trends, and supporting public health initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement and evaluate public health programs and initiatives.
• Conduct health education and awareness campaigns within communities.
• Monitor and investigate disease outbreaks and public health concerns.
• Collect, analyze and interpret health data to inform decision‑making.
• Ensure compliance with public health policies, regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, government agencies and community organisations.
• Conduct health inspections and risk assessments where applicable.
• Prepare reports and recommendations on public health issues.

Required profile

• Minimum OND qualification.
• At least 12 months of experience in a similar public health role.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
