Project Planner – Construction (Lagos)

About the role

The company is looking for a Project Planner to support its mechanical and electrical (MEP) construction projects across West Africa. You will be responsible for defining project scope, building detailed schedules, and estimating resources and costs to ensure successful delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and track project work breakdown structures (POW) and schedules.
• Maintain a risk register and monitor mitigation actions.
• Create a detailed procurement plan aligned with project timelines.
• Prepare material and equipment delivery plans in line with the schedule.
• Document and follow up on action items from periodic project meetings.
• Support the execution team by ensuring actual progress matches planned progress.
• Produce regular performance and progress reports for the client.
• Analyze schedule changes, assess delay impacts, and propose mitigation strategies.
• Contribute to PMO workflow improvements and maintain program trackers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• 1‑2 years of proven experience in project planning within construction.
• Familiarity with MEP work processes and sequencing.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail abilities.

What we offer
