Project Planner – Construction (Lagos)

About the role

The client is a leading West African construction firm specializing in mechanical and electrical (MEP) projects. They are looking for a Project Planner to define project scope, develop detailed schedules, and estimate resources and costs to ensure successful delivery of construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and track project work breakdown structures (POW) and schedules.
• Maintain a risk register and devise mitigation strategies.
• Create comprehensive procurement plans aligned with project timelines.
• Prepare material and equipment delivery plans in line with the schedule.
• Document and track action items from periodic project meetings with all stakeholders.
• Support the execution team by ensuring actual progress matches planned progress.
• Provide regular project performance reports to the client as required.
• Analyze schedule changes or delays and develop mitigation strategies.
• Contribute to PMO workflow improvements.
• Maintain program trackers for action items and other requested metrics.
• Perform any other duties assigned from time to time.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quantity surveying, or a related field.
• 1‑2 years proven experience in project planning within construction.
• Professional certifications related to project planning are a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.

What we offer

• Monthly gross salary of N400,000.
