Project Manager

About the role

Turbo Energy Limited is seeking a senior Project Manager to lead the establishment and operation of its new branch in Ibadan, Nigeria. The role will oversee project delivery for meter‑installation programmes, manage day‑to‑day branch activities and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the setup and operationalisation of the Ibadan office, including acquisition, fit‑out, staffing and resource allocation.
• Develop and execute detailed project plans for metering‑as‑a‑product (MAP) operations, monitoring timelines, budgets, risks and deliverables.
• Oversee daily branch operations, coordinating meter installations, replacements, inspections and maintenance while optimising inventory and logistics.
• Build and maintain relationships with IBEDC, customers, contractors, vendors, government agencies and regulatory bodies.
• Recruit, supervise and develop branch personnel, set KPIs and conduct performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with NERC guidelines, MAP regulations, HSSE standards and company quality procedures.
• Prepare operational budgets, monitor expenditures and support revenue‑assurance initiatives.
• Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies and report critical issues to senior management.
• Deliver timely meter deployment, resolve customer complaints and drive improvements in service satisfaction.
• Produce regular reports on project status, branch performance, operational metrics and budget utilisation.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with at least 5 years (60 months) of project management experience, preferably in the energy or utilities sector.
• Proven ability to establish new operational sites and lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian electricity regulations and metering programmes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Demonstrated competence in budgeting, financial monitoring and risk management.
