Project Manager – ECOWAS Free Movement Protocol

About the role

The Project Manager will lead the implementation of the Free Movement Protocol across the ECOWAS region, acting as a Senior Advisor in Nigeria. Reporting to the FMM II & SMIWA Senior Project Manager, the role ensures projects align with ICMPD’s strategy, donor agreements, and regulatory frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Direct, manage, coordinate, and control project activities from initiation to completion.
• Oversee project teams, ensuring alignment with ICMPD standards and partner expectations.
• Support the Demand Driven Facility programme and facilitate its implementation across member states.
• Contribute to capacity development, resource mobilisation, and overall project development.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory frameworks, donor agreements, and standard administrative practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing complex international development projects.
• Strong understanding of ECOWAS structures and migration‑related initiatives.
• Ability to work collaboratively with donors, partners, and government stakeholders.
• Senior‑level expertise in project coordination, reporting, and team leadership.
