Project Manager – AI Data Operations

About the role

DataLens Africa is looking for an AI Data Project Manager to lead cross‑functional teams and oversee data annotation programmes that fuel AI transformation across Africa. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering high‑quality datasets for a variety of industry clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multiple AI data labelling projects from initiation through delivery.
• Coordinate activities between annotators, QA reviewers, and client stakeholders.
• Monitor timelines, milestones, and resource allocation to ensure on‑time delivery.
• Guarantee consistent production of accurate, high‑quality datasets.
• Identify process improvements and implement operational efficiencies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project management or data operations.
• Strong organisational, communication, and leadership abilities.
• Familiarity with data workflows, annotation tools, or AI projects is preferred.
• Experience managing remote and distributed teams.
• Proficiency with project‑management platforms such as Trello, Asana, or Notion.
