Project Management Specialist – International

About the role

The Project Management Specialist will conduct due diligence and coordinate appraisal, implementation, monitoring and completion of development operations across Nigeria, Gabon and Sierra Leone, ensuring timely and compliant delivery of the Bank's development mandate.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct technical, financial, procurement, institutional, economic, social and environmental due diligence for project appraisal.
• Monitor assigned operations against scope, schedule, cost and results, preparing periodic implementation assessments.
• Review project contracts and financial management information, recommending corrective actions and escalating material risks.
• Prepare inputs for project completion reports and capture lessons learned.
• Maintain effective relationships with internal teams, executing agencies, member‑country counterparts and development partners.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Project Management, Engineering, Economics, Development Studies, Business Administration, Finance, Procurement, Operations Management, International Development).
• Minimum five years of professional experience in project management, development operations, project appraisal, implementation monitoring or portfolio management.
• Recognised project management certification.
• Experience in a multilateral development bank, development finance institution or comparable international development organisation.
• Fluent English (mandatory).
