Project Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a senior Project Engineer to lead Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) activities for our energy projects in Port Harcourt and the wider Rivers State region. The role involves maintaining up‑to‑date project documentation, coordinating engineering and construction tasks, and ensuring compliance with safety and client standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update all project documents, specifications, and electronic field drawings.
• Assist in preparing and implementing the Project Execution Plan (PEP).
• Coordinate and supervise E&I engineering, construction, testing, commissioning, and maintenance.
• Review E&I deliverables, drawings, procedures, and technical documents for alignment with project objectives.
• Manage document changes and assess cost/schedule impacts.
• Support ordering of project materials and rental equipment.
• Create and submit project RFIs and other informational requests.
• Prepare project submittals based on specifications and scope.
• Review weekly field labor timesheets for accurate cost application.
• Provide feedback on processes and suggest improvements.
• Promote a safety culture and quality delivery across all projects.
• Assist the Project/Operation Manager with additional duties as required.

Required profile

• Minimum B.Sc. degree.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar Project Engineer role.
• Senior‑level expertise in Electrical & Instrumentation engineering.
